nagios output to console

Hi folks!

I'm not sure, but times ago I remember a daemon like nagios that wrote
output of activity of system via console

i.e. while I using linux by shell, that daemon write on it warning me
about activity of system (an high consume of cpu, or a daemon goes down)

any idea?
